Yes you have to take off the door panel. After you get it off loosen the two felt guides on the inside of the window at the top. Drill out the four rivets and you have to remove a few screws on the ends of your main door weatherstrip. Now remove your old one and install new one by first checking carefully that the legs of those clips line up perfectly to the holes in your door. I say this because my new G.M. weatherstrip had one that would't line up. Ihad to break that leg off. Once your sure that it is going to fit try and start all the clips into their holes and then start fully engaging the from one end to the other. Once in install all four 3/16 by 3/8 long aluminium rivets. Your done!!! Good Luck!!!
