Will a C5 brake setup fit under Enkei rims? I don't have the $ for new rims and need to upgrade my brakes. I've heard that GS brakes will fit under these rims. Is it true? Any other ideas to upgrade brakes and keep the same rims would be very helpful.

Re: C5 brakes (Ray383)
You will need 17" rims for either GS or C5 brake system. You need full 17" diameter inside the rim. C5 calipers almost touch the rim, less than 3/8" clearance.
Up grading to C5 versus GS may require special adaptors as the size of the calipers and the disk pads is larger, I understand GS uses the 12" stock C4 caliper and pad, not sure of this so no flames please.

I had heard that the Enkenei's will support a 13 brake set up as they are different than the other manufacturor. Never seen a pair of the Enkenei's always thought they were a rumour. :jester
3/8 isn't that close

Larger in what respect? Diameter... no they aren't. Thickness... yes

Now this though is a  Grand sport utilized the the same rotor as the J55 (13") other than the fact the hub is painted black. Thus the GS caliper is also a larger caliper. But the pads are the same for JL9 and J55 brakes.
