Default Figuring out part numbers

A while back, I bought two knock sensors for my '94 LT1. I was under the impression that '96 LT4 knock sensors was a popular mod for LT1's. However, I learned the hard way that it's not the knock sensor, but instead it's the knock MODULE. Doh. A $60 or so mistake.

I still have the knock sensors and was contemplating putting them up on ebay. My question is, what's the best way to figure out exactly what cars this part will go on? Is there a way to get the part number and find out what other cars will accept the part?

I guess I could always call the Chevy dealership. :smash: But I'm too lazy right now and would like to find it online if possible.

Thanks!

Try the AC-Delco website. If you know the AC-Delco part number, you can do a search on "application" of the part number. There is also a manufacturers cross reference section, where you can input GM part numbers and find the AC-delco part number, although I have found errors in this on one part. However, if you double check your result, it will show up any errors as your application for the part will not be listed with the others. :steering:
