I will be updating the post soon with more pictures. I've so far only run into minor problems but I'm upgrading the opti and waterpump right now. I'm still nervous about it though. Like Vetteheadracer said, butget for replacing parts. I have plans for a bottom end rebuild I just hope I can get a year or two of enjoyment without having to do that. Clutch is the next "must-do"
As far as cost. I priced installs and I got typical mechanic response. $80-85hr @ 20 Hours!
As sensitive as a blower setup is to a high compression vette engine, I stand by the motto if you want it done right you do it yourself. I've had bad experience with mechanics making "short cuts" and now that I'm seeing how much of a pain some of the steps are for this install, I'm glad I'm doing it myself. I can take my time. I don't HAVE to get it done in 20 hrs.

That was when the problems started, car had done 55,000 miles when I fitted the kit.
1. 600 miles later bye, bye clutch.
2. 8000 miles later bye, bye piston.
The lesson here is budget for replacing other parts i.e. new clutch (I fitted a centrforce and that was 30,000 miles ago now).
Engine rebuild - I had J&E forged pistons, Eagle forged rods, Hayes rings, Felpro gaskets (tried GM motorsport ones originally but they blew in less than 3000 miles), ARP bolts, heads ported and ceramic coated. etc., etc.
Also had the suspension upgraded and the brakes to cope with extra horse power.
Also discovered a design fault with the Procharger kit. At 4000 RPM the intake pipe got sucked shut, so had to fit a metal ring inside. Also had fuel pressure problems so fitted bigger injectors. Also had an opti-spark problem (so what's new I hear you say), which caused a mis-fire at about 4500 RPM.
The total cost of the kit, fitting was about $8,000, then spent another $15,000 getting everything else upgraded to cope with all the power.
Now that it all works it is a dream daily driver with 502BHP and 485lbs/ft torque following all of the engine work. It just took 3 years to get everything sorted out.
[IMG][/IMG] I have a 1996 LT4 with a ATI Procharger Intercooled Supercharger, it is the P600B model as quotes 45-60% increase in hp. I had the car dyno'd prior to starting at it had 338HP at the flywheel and 485HP after fitting the kit.

Start by going to http://www.picturejudge.com and open a new account. This is the place you actually will upload your pictures to. After you do that the site is pretty self explanatory for uploading pictures. Once you have the picture uploaded click on the image until it opens in it's own window at full size. Then right click the image and click on properties. Copy the location from the address field to your clip board. Then in your post click on the "Image" button below which gives you: [IMG][/IMG] these tags on your screen. Paste the location in between the tags.
