Default acceleration problems

does anyone have any ideas on what would cause an 84 with Crossfire to bog down only when it's warm? Car runs great when cold or moderatly warm, but do too much idling and it looses its ability to accelerate, first in 3rd or 4th, eventually even in first or second. It's been suggested it the ignition pick up coil, others say the throttle body injectors are the problem.

Second, any idea where to get the specs on the cam?

Check the fuel pressure, it should be between 10 and 12 PSI. Check it with then engine idling, then drive the car when you have the problem and make sure its at the above ranges. If not its only one of three things, pressure regulator, fuel pump or a clogged filter. I am not sure where you can find the cam specs, perhaps if you post on the C4 tech and performance site you can find the answer.

found the problem. first, the fuel filter was changed out, but thanks for the advice anyway, sometimes its the simplest things that goof you up. Next, drilled a couple of small holes in the exhaust before the cat, and found that made no difference, cat was completely hollowed out anyway. Took it to a muffler shop to confirm there was minimal backpressure. Next, I rebuilt the throttle bodies, got the parts from Discount Auto Parts, also known as Advanced Auto parts. Parts only $60 for both throttle bodies. Worked out great, made a big difference. Went back and bought a fuel pump, that made another quantum leap ahead. Car now runs great, so I can start thinking about mods to get more power. Did put in my own design for forced air induction, did it for about $15, not the $419 Eckler wants. Not sure how much it helps, but rather have it than not.
