While on the EGR subject, are there any long term side effects of disabling the EGR? If this is disengaged can I see any power results? Would it be worth the removal? And if so, how?
Thanks!

a little more on the lower stealth plennum:
there is no water passage on the rear like a miniram.
Bung for water temp sensor on top of the front water passageway not on the front vertical surface we L98 guys are used to.
Grumpy, got your plennum today. I will try to install tonight. What size are the throttle blade bores?

89 Paul- can you give us a blow-by-blow account of your Stealth Ram install? I am very curious about how it installs in a Corvette. I would be others on the forum are curious as well! Let us know how it runs as well. :seeya

(2) the bolts going thu the plenum are smaller in dia. than the holley plenum and have no measurable effect on the airflow into the ports (I TRIED IT BOTH WAYS DURING TESTING)BUT AN INTERNALLY BOLTED PLENUM HAS THE POTENTIAL FOR A MOUNTING BOLT WORKING LOOSE AND DROPPING DOWN AN INTAKE PORT! , USEING BOLTS THAT ARE AIRCRAFT WIRED TOGETHER TO PREVENT THAT PLACES THE WIRES DIRECTLY BETWEEN PORTS AND THAT DOES ALTER FLOW SLIGHTLY)
I don't know what testing was done but this post should help clear up that issue.
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=527742

Anyway the bolt is not the reason I like the other plenum much better. Honestly, I would not choose to use the manifold but that is my preference. I just feel based on my experiences that there is more potential in the plenum in the pictures I posted. I have no vested interest in either just a preference for one design over the other.

if you read the post carefully youll see he tested the HOLLEY plenum flowing thru the throttle body intake port holes and his version with NO LID ON THE PLENUM AT ALL. and still the differance was only a few CFM "FLOW WITH COVER OFF FIC PLENUM TO SEE WHAT THE ACTUAL INTAKE RUNNERS FLOW WITH NO OBSTRUCTION.
if he would have tested with air flowing into the throttle body intake ports even that differance of a few cfm would have been even less

I cannot WAIT for some dyno numbers! I don't care what it's on, I just want to see either a TPI- StRam or SuperR - StRam comparison. Shoot, even a mini-r vs St Ram...

And we can't use "SR" for superram anymore! Too confusing!!!

Don't hold your breath waiting on dyno numbers from me. I'm doing the swap the first week of July. As these sorts of things go, it might be a few weeks after that when all the little details/bugs are worked out. If it runs great right off the bat, then I might not even bother going to a dyno. If I end up having to go to a dyno to get the chip tuned, that'd probably be the only reason I'd spend my money on a dyno. Maybe if I find myself at an event where it's not much $.

Do a search, the last Stealth / Grumpy thread had a side by side dyno post listed in it.
