Try http://www.exoticmuscle.com or call Merle or Trevor at 480-967-4222. They have a new coated long tube setup for C4s that appears to be dynoing very favorably. Also, you will need to use something like Random bullet cats behind the headers if you have to pass smog. I bought the headers, but my motor isn't finished yet, so can't give a performance recommendation. They sure look great and I know they fit because they tested them on my LT4. Good luck.
TPIS longtube are quality headers and are not cheap, but new from TPIS is more like $750 (check TPIS website). We ran a group purchase earlier this year sponsored by East Coast Supercharging (ECS) and got a better deal. Call Chris at ECS tell him you are a forum member and see what he can do. If that is still too much $ check out EM or Hooker they are cheaper and some people here are happy with them. Just make sure to get them coated. :chevy
I am heading to the dyno in 2 weeks, I was at 280 RWHP before. With the addition of 1.6RR and TPIS longtubes over the winter I am hoping to break 300 RWHP. Most people est. 15 RWHP gain for longtubes.
i am a big fan of the hooker super comp long tubes myself..... dont know about any gain numbers on the TPIS headers but i do know a couple ppl here on the board have put on hooker super comp long tubes with some kind of catback and different cat combos and have gotten about 25-30rwhp
not to shabby if you ask me
i have hooker longtubes on my LT4. i bought the non-emissions set, and welded in the O2 sensor bungs. they were cheap as hell, but look to be solid and well-designed headers. the flanges are large, and they fit extremely well.
sorry, i left out the most important part... they're L98 headers. that's why i got the non-emissions set, so there wouldn't be L98-specific fittings in the way. they fit great, though.
if you search the archives, you should find some fitment info on them. i did the usual engine mount bolt reversal, although it looks as if it might've cleared anyway.
from your questions/manner i'll assume you're not totally educated on this. forgive me if i'm stating the obvious:
whether L98 or LT4, those headers are not a 100% bolt-in proposition. some fabrication and welding will be necessary in order to mate the headers to your exhaust. unless you buy just the right size cats (usually expensive ones from random tech), you'll be without the converters. on an LT4, this means reprogramming to take out the converter test and rear O2 sensors.
you'll also either have to disable/remove, or fabricate something appropriate to plumb the AIR system back into the exhaust.
either or both of those missing components renders your car illegal, and unable to pass emissions testing. unless you can weld/fabricate, at least some of the work has to be done by a shop, and one willing to risk a $100,000 EPA fine.
just a few things to consider...
the ones i have are 2151, not 2159. i know a few places who sell them on the cheap, if you can't find a good deal from one of the board sponsors, email me.
