Suddenly you're THE authority of performance cars by reading magazines?? Please they run the Z06 in 13.0 in some of those rags. BTW I don't have a boost controller on my car so that shoots your little theory. I guess b/c I have a Callaway must car must be slow. :rolleyes: Youre wrong about my car and its ok. I hate to tell you but the 1/4 mile time is not the end all of performance, it depends greatly on the driver and ability of the car to hook up. Run one of those cars in a rolling or 1 mile race and see what happens. :cheers:
Here your stats for the 0-1/4 mile and standing 1 mile:
0-1/4 mile
CL55 12.38 @ 114.45
Z06 12.44 @ 116.54
Standing mile
Z06 31.8 @ 162.6(93% of top speed)
CL55 31.9 @ 164.1 (88% of top speed)
The Z06 is by far a better performance car, because the CL55 isn't even considered a sports car and with it's 5000+ curb weight it is a tank going around corners and trying to stop. But the original topic asked who would win in a drag race, so I am just giving out some facts. Since everyone has their opinion on how slow they think the AMG E55 is, they should think again! BTW: the E55 is smaller, lighter, with the same power and therefore should be faster.

My friend's Z06 runs consistent 12 flats, and he can't drive for poopie, must be an exception :rolleyes:

But just so you know... Im not knocking the E55 one bit..... Amazing car, end of story.... I just feel it will lose..... by a lot, no..... just an opinion though

Zelement, rou car runs 10's? I'm not questioning you i just always thought you had one of the nicest looking c4's out there. I didn't know it was also one the quicker cars too.

I don't know much about the E55 but the ZO6 does have a lot of power if you can get it to the ground. My 2002 Z28 LS1 6-speed ran 12.6@112 with only an exhaust cutout, ram air hood, filter box and drag radials. I drove a friends LS1 non-ZO6 corvette and with a 150 shot I got it in the 11.9x's. Wish I still had my camaro but it can't take corners like my C4.
