Trans Question
This is kinda OT I guess, but I am posting it in here becaue I dont think the other cars section gets the traffic this does...anyways my father has a '79 El Camino SS that he is building up, right now it has a pretty much wasted muncie 4 spd in it, he wants to replace it with another 4 spd just something more beefy (the car is getting a 350 w/supercharger) anyways any suggestions for a beefy 4spd and where to purchase one. Thanks

I read in one of my car mags (either Car Craft or Chevy Hi per) about beefing up the muncie with bullet proof components. Cost for the parts didn't seem to bad. Find a good tranny shop and find out what a rebuild would cost. There are tons of parts for those muncies.
