I have the mods as described in my sig, with stock exhaust, the stock performance back end (3.07s), a stock torque converter, and street tires. I am currently laying down times in this area:
(last night)
60' - 2.19 (had to have ASR on to even get it down this far.. tires would spin with more then the slightest throttle)
ET- 13.07 (soooo close!! doh!!)
MPH- 107.4
My current upgrade path is as follows-
Nitto drag radials
Cat-Back exhaust system
3.54 gears (in a DANA 44)
2800-3200 Torque Conveter.
Hell if you can get that 60' down youd be the 12s now.
Id say that a normal car would get mid/upper 12s, you can probably get low/mid 12s.
No kidding.. I was fighting my 60' times all night last night.. (althought it was only 44 degrees outside.. which makes it even harder).
What do you mean by a normal car can get mid/upper 12s?? Do you mean if I just got my 60' down? (say, by using a set of nitto's?) Then if I do the exhaust, gears, etc.. I will be mid-low 12s??
Well judging from what ive seen, most LT1s only run in the low 13s except a very few who, as you have, touched 13.0x. I think yours is a strong one, kinda like Mojo's girl, and if yours can get that low with such bad 60' times then i think as soon as you learn to launch it then youll be pulling high 12s regularly. Then with those mods you might get low/mid 12s.
Your potential ET at 107.4mph is around 12.6sec, so a little more HP and gears along with a TC should easily get you those low 12s.
Just pulling a 1.75-1.80 short time would put you around 12.6sec with the current setup. That could be done with maybe a 2,400-2,800rpm TC and sticky tires (and the D44, of course).
