What mileage (5,000/10,000/etc) do people have on solid roller setups?
I have been pondering a switch to a solid roller setup on my new shortblock and wonder about how much mileage folks are getting out of them.
I could tolerate valvesprings changes every ~10,000 miles and even new lifters every ~30,000 miles...curious if this is reasonable. Car will be street driven primarily, but track events are a priority too.
I'm shooting for a near 7000 rpm shift point on my 383 LT4 with CNC heads and a ~.600 lift camshaft by the way...
My 396 had about 20k miles on it when I pulled it down recently...The last 15k or so was with a big mechanical stick. I checked/ran the lash every oil change...
