Default rim issues

I have an 86 coupe. What is the widest rim that will fit in the rear wells of my car. I want the wheels to prodrude further than the fenders and I dont want to get into minitubing. Also what wheel size diameter can i fit in both the front and rear? Would I have to get spacers? I was considering putting aftermarket ZO6 rims.

aftermarket z06 rims would requires spacers unless they made a specific offset for 84-87. zr-1 17x11s fit fit and only out of the fender about 1/4" so if you want to protrude then i guess you could go larger than that.... :D

If you get them with the correct offset, which is like 38mm, you wont need spacers. If you do need spacers, get the ones from Vettebrakes.

I would not go more than 9.5" wide rim in the front, but ive seen a couple on here with 11" in front. You can definitely go with 11 wide" in the rear. As far as diameter, 18"s will fit in the rear, and somebody has 18" in the front.

I really hope you mean on the inside. :) I know people that have had 12" wide rims with a custom offset and 335 tires that fit. They may of had GS fender flares on the outside though.
