My vote is for the Comp Cams rockers.

The ProMagnums have lower rotating mass and are lighter than the Crane.

I saw both on display at Summit Racing and the ProMagnums were it.

Another choice is the Comp Cams Hi-Tech roller rockers. The are a bit lighter than the Pro Magnums and stronger. Totally rebuildable as as well just like the Pro Mags but they cost a few bucks more. These are my choice in all of my engines.

Ive noticed some guys around here going with 1.7's. Is there any advantage to doing this? i know it puts more stress on the pushrods, but does it provide more spring clearance, or allow faster opening times for the cam?

Going with 1.7s is to enhance the cam's profile; this works well with a flat tappet cam that has limited ramp slope.

But with a roller cam it's better to select the correct cam and use 1.5s as the rollers on the lifter allow for a steeper lobe slope.

Less spring clearance (if that's the term) and faster opening RATE, since the valves open further in the same amount of time.
