Dip stick bolt down with headers????
I just installed headers on my L98 and much to my surprise the dip stick bolt down tab doesn't come anywhere near the header bolt. (I shoulda seen this coming :rolleyes: ) How do you guys with headers get around this problem?

Can you make a "stand off?" Use a small piece of pipe just large enough for the header bolt to go through and buy a long enough header bolt to fit.

I just re-used the stock bolt for that one. Just get some aluminum tubing from Home Depot or any hardware store, and cut an appropriate length to make a spacer.
Or you could bend up some aluminum flat bar stock and make a bracket if you want.

Thanks guys... I had thought about trying that but wasn't sure about it. (now where did I put those old bolts??) :lolg:
