Default Here we go again!!!!

My 87 Coupe was working fine until this Saturday. When I start it cold the RPM's go up to 900-1000 for about a minute then go down to 600-700. It stays at this engine speed for the whole day, which is fine. This Saturday when I started it to go on a 200 mile+ trip, the engine started and quickly died. When I restarted it, the idle speed was 500 RPM's, went to 400 and died again. So I turned in the idle control screw located on the driver's side of the throttle body until the engine was at an 600-700 RPM idle. On sunday, Monday and today I had to do it again because the engine went down to 500 RPMs and then died. The spark plugs have less than a month (Bosch 4+), the wires are good, the fuel filter is 1 year old, the electrical system was checked and is OK. Where else can I check to find the problem? Thank you.

Could be the IAC motor. You may want to pull the throttle body off and clean it up.

Sounds like something that should set some codes. Especially if it's getting spark and fuel. Have you checked the ALCL for codes? :seeya
