tube runner removal question

Default tube runner removal question

Do I take off the distributor cap or the FPR assembly to get to the top driver's side bolt? (85 vette) The cap looks easier. TIA :seeya :steering:

No need to remove either. You should be to reach it with an assortment of extensions.

Ive found it easier to take the dist. out of the motor.Clearance is very minimal there.I would not mess with the FPR.One other possibility,if you can remove the 4 fuel rail bolts under the runners and the 2 torx bolts in front of the rail on the intake,you can possibly lift the fuel rail up enough to get a small extension back there.If youre unfamiliar with removing and installing the dist itself,then dont pull it out.Ive done it so many times its alot easier and faster for me to take it off to give me ample room to work.

Some guys have said they used a 1/4 inch extension and torx bit and removed the cap to get back there but Ive never tried it that way.
