hello, i'm having a problem adjusting my Throttle positioning sensor after installing my new 58mm bbk throttle body. the sensor should produce .525 v at idle, I can't get anywhere near that, 4,5 v give or take.is what I'm getting.
I even went and bought a new sensor thinking that was the problem.
it wasn't what now????
thanks Greg
Re: bbk Throttle body/tp sensor problem (atotalnincompoop)
I have heard of alot people having that problem with BBK. Some people had to modify theirs. They were not specific. Might have to go to adjustable tps that they have in mags and sometimes ebay. Did you call manufacturer and see what they said?
Re: bbk Throttle body/tp sensor problem (atotalnincompoop)
I take it this is on an '85 vette?
I have that style TB on my '73 but it's an OEM version. I also had trouble adjusting the voltage but mine would never go low enough. I ended up slightly adjusting the blades to get down to .5V. I don't know if the BBK has that adjustment capability but you might give it a try.
