I have a problem with my dash!In the daytime it is fairly bright, but at night, when I turn on my headlights,I can hardly see it.Also,my clock will sometimes go from bright to dim.{as with the dash during daytime}Could this be a grounding problem?I notice that sometimes my radio will go nuts, but if i tap the face of the clock it will go back to normal.
At night, rotate your headlight switch **** counterclockwise and your cluster illumination should brighten if the cockpit is not being illuminated by an outside bright light such as a streetlight. If it won't brighten by rotating the headlight **** when the cockpit is dark, the circuit on the cluster circuit board or the light sensor at the top left of the speedometer may be defective and in need of repair.
The dash normally dims in darkness to prevent you from losing your night vision capabilities, but it can be brightened with the headlight control.

Plus, next to your odometer is a little hole with a light sensing resistor. If during daylight(or at night, use a flashlight) turn on your lights and use your thumb(or the flashlight) to see if the dash gets brighter or darker. If it doesn't it may be out or have a bad solder joint.
