Idle problems, IAC counts ??
Ok, My 89 Auto idles fine, half the times, the other times it will just idle up to 1,500rpm for no dam reason. and maybe it will go back down... in 10sec, or 10hrs.... so i have a intermitent idle problem. I've replaced the IAC motor, and the TPS motor, and I've even done a 730SD swap and nothing did help the idle. I've adjusted the TPS voltage....everything. checked for vacum leaks... I'm done.... any ideas????? I hooked up my scanner and with the coolant around 180 in Park, my IAC counts were 30, 40's, and 70's, i even saw over 100. but mainly in the 50's after being adjusted. That normal. how should i set the IAC count????

I guess scan it while it has the problem and idles high. Check IAC counts. If they are low you have air entering somewhere. Either a vacuum leak or sticking throttle. If the counts are really high maybe a sensor out of whack?
