Installing a Hurst
I ordered the hurst shifter last night. I wanted to know if ya'll could help me out. I have heard that it is a pita to install. Is there a website that has instructions or anything else that can help me out with the installation? Help would be appreciated. Thanks

I got the car up on 4 stands, removed the exhaust and the job was mostly straight foreward. That inner rubber boot can be a challenge to reinstall. Shift **** key can also be a pita. Some didn't remove the exh. but i'm glad I did...

You are really going to like this shifter. I put one in recently and it is the most enjoyable upgrade I've made to my Vette. What helped me out was the Helms Service manual and the Hurst instructions, combined. I, also, had to replace the lower boot as the previous owner had cut it off when replacing the clutch :U The hardest part was removing the pin from below. Mine was easy, but some guys report that theirs was a PITA. I did remove the exhaust and X-brace (vert). While you have the exhaust off, REPLACE YOUR FUEL FILTER It's easy to get at. :flag :flag :flag
