gotta weird ? need some help
ok i was just driving along tonight and the light turned yeller, i was doing about 60 so i floored it to get out of the intersection, well the car felt like it shifted then it started to go. i hit the gas kinda 1 sec delay then it started giving gas and i took off. it felt like the car was shifting it was that kinda feeling. its a 84 auto with no probs 107k miles and runs like a champ.
when i was at auto zone picking up some new u-joints i asked the guy working and he had no clue. :confused:
this happons more then once i found a road that no one was on floored it and it does not do that when im under 50 i was doing 35 and jumped on it and it was smooth and it only happons when im doing over 50 and it happons all the time when i step on it
could this be a prob or some thing that is normal.
and btw i whent to a friends house who had a lift and i had this loose connecter and i pluged it in and the check engine light is off :cheers:

Dude, I can fix that problem: don't zoom through an interestion on a yellow - especially at a high rate of speed.... :steering:
As for your question, I don't have an auto, but could it be the torque converter going from locked, to unlocked when you hit the gas from a steady 60mph cruise?

I replaced my fuel pump and fixed that prob it was happening to me when i jumped on it hard when already moving.

I think you had to wait for the downshift and the revs to come up. Sounds normal to me. How does your transmission fluid look? Is it cherry red, or black and burnt smelling?
