just curious where it should run......I plan to flush and put in a new tstat but it was arund 220 on the highway(its africa hot here too) my LT1 ran around that till I flushed it now runs 190.......
Yesterday with climate control reading 100+ and the AC on, I was running 205 on the highway and 230 waiting in the drive-thru. My L98 runs hotter with the AC on. Without the AC, I generally dont see over 200 regardless of outside temps.
It should run about the same temps at cruise as your 95. It does have a stock 195F thermostat though.
I have a 160 and a reprogrammed chip to make the fans come on at 195. My oil temps stay at about 200F, go up to 215F with the AC on. Coolant is always 15-20 below that.
I had higher than normal temps last summer, and I took it into "Tony's Corvette Shop" in Maryland. He had me come back over to show me all imbedded leaves that were in the V space between the cooler and radiator. Plus a red shop rag from the dealer. My radiator fins were clogged, then he showed me how, due to overheating, that the plastic sides of my radiator were permanently buldged and no longer a rectangle. I replaced the radiator, and no longer have coolant problems. :flag
