Pulling 4L60E trans
If done on jackstands, what is the minimum clearance (jackstand height) needed to get the trans out from under there? I was also considering rolling it forward on a floor jack and pulling it out of the engine bay (after the engine, of course) with the engine hoist. Any tips?

Sorry, I don't know about a 4L60 but for a TH350/TH400
I'd be looking for 17" plus the height of the floor jack.
If it is going to be close, you can slip the trans off the jack
onto a sturdy piece of cardboard or plywood and skid it out
from underneath.
