Default Dana 36 interchangable?

Can a Dana 36 pumpkin/batwing assy from an '85 bolt directly into a '92?
Coming from an automatic and going into an automatic. Would anything else have to be changed like half-shafts, driveshaft, support bar, etc.?

Thx! :seeya

If you are staying with the same ratio you shouldn't need anything else, but if the ratio is different you will want to pick up the correct set of automatic transmission speedo gears to match the new rear ratio. :steering:

Yup - know about the gear change in the transmission - '85 pumpkin has a 3:07 gear set installed (GM Factory). I just wanted to be sure it was a straight swap... from the current 2:59 :)
