I replace my transmission last week, and since I got the car back its been running like crap, I figured that it was time for tune-up. I changed the wires plugs, oil filter, air filter with no luck.
Car ideals horrible(missing)
under a load gets much worse
no oil in water or vis versa
noticed that there is a pressure leak of some sort when I shut the car off nears the plug closest to passangers seat at the back of the engine. I checked to see if the plug was loose but it was fine.
The car is not throwing any codes, what should I be looking for I figure I should check for intake leak or vacuum leak but are there any other possibilities. And would any of these coincide with the transmission??
Thanks for any help
It sounds like you have a vacum leak. Having only owned two GM products (79 Monte Carlo & 90 Corvette) I'm not too knowledgeable on the newer models. On the older cars there is a vacum line from the intake to the modulator on the transmission. I'm not sure if this is still used on newer models. If they still use this system, check to see if you fogot to connect it or if it has come loose.
