Window Tint
My C4 needs a new tint job. My rear hatch has air bubbles and is blurry, and my windows have scratches all over the bottoms. I've been meaning to get this re-done but I'm not sure how much this will cost. I also wanted to get it darker if possible maybe 15% if thats still legal. Can anyone give me a price estimate on this, and tell me exactly how dark i can go....Thanks in advance... :D

uh, ok.
darkness? that's dependant on your local laws... and since I don't know all the rules across the country, nor do I know what state you are in... :D
to make is cheaper, remove it yourself. That is easy enough. Use some 0000 wire wool to clean after.
As for cost? A couple hundred bucks is not outside the realm of possibility.

I am getting mine done next week. How well does the tint cover the rear window defrost elements? I would expect to see some bubbling there...no?
Also, does the tint improve inside temps in the sun? How much?

i just had mine done but i got the reflective mirror tint on all three and during the day you can see in forat all but in the car you can see better than normal tint especially at night and yea very illegal but im happy how my car looks now. i paid 190 to remove the old tint and put on the new tint.

I paid $160 for 5% on all 3 windows w/ lifetime warranty :cool:
Did you know somebody at that shop? 5% on the 2 side windows is illegal in all states

For the rear hatch glass, tell the installer to cut the tint around the latch and struts so the tint is not actually under these parts. Touch up the bare glass with spray black paint.
If you install the tint between the glass and the strut/latch hardware, the twisting will eventually cause the tint to lift off.
