my dash ?!?!?!?!?!?!
this is like the 3rd time i posted about my p.o.s dash and how all the lights light up but the numbers or any thing dont show unless im wearing polorized sun glasses and then i can see the numbers fine and the bars
but if i dont have those polorized glasses i cant see jack crap and its hard to drive on a empty road at 12 at night trying to do the speed limit
any one else have this prob. or know waht i could do to fix it

Unforunately I have the same problem. Your LCD lense have sun faded, there is no fix short of buying reconditioned clusters. My wife and I now where the glasses day and night. Don't worry the passenger has the glasses on. GOOD LUCK!

Cory, by the sounds of things, your dash needs to be reconditioned. In the back of the dash (once you take the covers off) there are 2 computer boards that connect by way of a 7pin connector. This connection over time takes a beating and gets worn out. If all the funcitions are working (ie tach, speedo, temp, etc) then you need to clean those connections...warning though..I had the dash out in my 86 3 times...cleaned up the connection with electric cleaner and it ran fine for about a week and then would die out...I finally borke down and sent it in for a full retrofit...it costs $195 but you won't have to worry about your dash for a long time to come...The guys name is Gene Taber and his web address is: http://corvettedashclusterservice.com. He is great to deal with and true to his word...check out his website....good luck

heres what im thinking about doing
going to home depot and lowes and asking if they have like this polorized plastic lenis stuff you put on windows and try to do it that way. if they dont have them ill just call around to window dealers and see if they even make them.
and get like a peice that would fit over the spodo and tach and hope fully it would work
