what does this mean? I ran a normal A-B jump a few days back and got the 12 flash three times, 26 flash three times and a 72 flash three times.. since then I have disconnected the battery but i dont know if that clears the codes from the CCM.. also about a week ago a code 64 flashed on the A-B terminal jump .. but that was because my converter was plugged.. which, thanks to a big hammer, is now solved..
ok.. i did some research and found out the C indicates a current code.. and H means its a stored code (history)..
ok.. so I looked up the H26 and that is the Quad module #1 failure.. it told me to check the EGR, AIR pump relay and purge canister relay for more than 20 ohms.. they all had more than 20.. then it said replace the ECM.. so i was jsut about to order one when I noticed the battery was almost shot..
so I pulled the battery, filled it up with distilled water (it was low) and am recharging it.. if this doesnt work I'm gonne get a new ECM I guess..
do any of you guys know how to test teh ECM? banging on it had no effect.. but i have an 'service asr' light on...
C12 is a check digit. As the other two are history codes and since you didn't say if you had a check engine light lately, they may have been there a while. Since you have your battery out they should be reset when you re-enstall. Let us know if the codes come back.
the codes came back.. and i did all the check and all i can think is the ECM has gone bad... but at 225.00 a pop i'm not gonna guess.. I caved in and took it to the local dealer.. they charge 75 bucks to diagnose the problem.. cheap advice... I should be rockin the world in a few days with it i hope...
i'll post the results.. thanks everyone for your help..
