86-89 console switches

86-89 console switches
I ordered a carbon fiber dash for my 86 and the console covers didn't fit mine so i shipped it back and they are going to rectify the problem. The console covers they shipped me both had 4 switch holes. What is the fourth switch hole for ?

If I take your posting right, you mean the 4 switches in the center console on the left side under the 4 vent squares. The 4 switches that I have on my 87 are: oil press/oil temp, coolant temp/volts, range/trip ODO, instant fuel range/average fuel range. Is that the 4 your talking about??

Yes,there are 2 window switches,and 1 for control of left/right mirror. The shifter console cover they sent me had a fourth switch hole.This pic should ease the confusion :D

The the 4th hole is for the OD switch on 84-85 cars with the 4+3 transmission. The OD switch was moved to the shift **** in 86.

That hole is for the 4+3 emblem.

Some 89s had this option....placement of the switch was on the console between the window switches. It would be a square hole....
