Sorry guys, I know this is really stupid.... but I'm missing my light button inside the car .... you know that light button that you pull on to turn on the exterior lights, its on the top left side of the dash.
I've looked on this web site to see if I could order one.. couldn't find one.
Does any one know how to replace the light switch?
My car still has the metal rod sticking out... but not button on the end.... should I remove the old metal bar and put in the new light button with new bar OR can I simply put the new button on the end of the old bar ?
Man ... what I wrote really doesn't sound right... but I hope someone understands.

Re: Light button? (TheStef)
The metal bar in the picture looks like it uses a C clip to secure it to the light switch, and im pretty sure the plastic know is epoxyed to the metal rod. Best bet is to disassemble the switch and replace the entire metal rod/**** assembly. :chevy
You were correct the first time, it's in the dashboard. When you receive the new **** assembly, just install it as a unit. Use a pair of needle nose pliers to compress the retainer and slide the old bar out, and just push the new one in, easy as pie. Might have to remove the trim from the dash to do so, it's been awhile since I was in there.
1984-89 Headlight **** $24.99
Ouch !! That would cost me about $ 50 canadian to get it here.
I'll just leave that black goop holding my **** on there till i find a better option.
To be more exact, 42$... but my dash would look a lot less stupid.. and I'll just wait until I can order some other stuff with it to cut down the shipping cost. 1 shot deal!
I don't even have the button on my dash.. I baught the car without it.
