Hi Everyone! My 85 Corvette runs great 99 % of the time. However sometimes it will just shut off with no warning. Leaving a stop light or just ideling, I just pull over crank the engine usually on the second try starts up runs great? I have installed a new fuel pump, both fuel filters, new cap, rotor and plug wires. New plugs.......Trouble shooting guides not addressing this problem? Advice is welcome!

Consider the four way connector and its associated wires from the distributor. If the ECM doesn't receive the reference signal from the distributor, it will immediately stop pulsing the injectors. If this is an intermittent problem, it will be a bear to check out. If the EGR were at fault, it would most likely shut off when decelerating, more so than at idle. Hope this is a little help.
