Default What can I expect?

I have a 94 coupe, basically stock except for open lid with K&N and a hypertech PPIII with a 160 tstat. If I were to change the stock 2.59 gears to 3.73's and add a Corsa catback system, what type of performance improvement will I realize? There is a local company here in Charlotte NC called More Performance that will install the gears for about $800.00 parts and labor.

Has anyone had any experience with them? Should I do something different than the mods listed above? Thanks for any advice.

you sure would come out of the hole like a crazyman...

are you considering drag racing? if so, the D36 is not the best choice... it's not IF the rear will explode, it's when... ouch.

to make the job easier, consider getting a D44 and using the stock 3.45 gear. Close enough to your goal, sure, but a whole lot stronger!!!!

Also... do roller rockers and the assoicated upgrades. They are on my list. get nice ones... Crane's... something like that... worth 15 horsepower! 1.6:1 is the ratio of choice.

I am not really looking to drag race, OK maybe a few passes at the local strip :D . I am basically looking for better acceleration and all around performance. Is the D44 a direct replacement for my D36? The guy that quoted me the gear swap said the he would have to use a thicker gear in order to use my carrier, not sure what that means as I have never done any rear end work. Thanks for the information.
