NEED OVERNIGHT; 27C256 SD chip
I need the whole chip out of a 730 SD computer. I'm tired of F'n with mine. If someone has one laying around that is capable of being programmed i'll buy it. I can paypal you ASAP. I'm out of a car dam it. For some reason mine won't program. So i'd like to try another chip.

You can use a 29C256 chip along with a adapter board so that you can use your stock memcal. Have you seen this? Here is a link:

The prom goes into the black socket and your memcal plugs into the header pins. And yes it all fits inside the confines of your ECM. I have the adapters and the 256 chips if you want one let me know. Send me your zipcode so I can figure out overnight shipping from UPS.
I sell the adapters for $35 (same as craig) the chips are NEW Atmel 29C256 ($8) flash memory chips (no UV eraser necessary) or if you prefer I also have SST 27F512 or 256 chips. You are better off with the Atmels.

No need. The Prom i've been using is a POS. the guy that did it "locked" it or some crap. Either way. Making my life a living hell. He's gonna fix this little problem. B/c when i went to see him i gave him a "GM DEALER" new chip... and he was supposed to just re-do some data and that was it.... i walked out $120 poorer and with some Fuc'd chip.

He locked it? Hmm I would like to see how he locked it. Send me a copy of that BIN if you can. Ed Wright locks his programing on his LT1 stuff but I hacked it for a number of people. I have never heard of someone locking a BIN on a prom.

Let's start off with he's a Piece of shiiit. I'm pretty dam pissed b/c i kissed out of a good chip and a lot of money for just some small issues that took him 10mins of CATS. I saw it. **** me off. I know he cuts one of the legs off the Memcal. why, i don't know. All i know is i'm never going back and never EVER sending anyone to him. He should of at least told me before I left b/c I just gave him a VIRGIN DEALER GM CHIP. KiSS MY pissed off white butt. HE uses the "S4" or some crap programmer..... bull poopie. I got the program I wanted on their via him today so i can at least sell the car and get pretty good performance. But if i want to do any more.... I'm screwed. I need to buy a New GM CHIP. $50. !!! :mad Pop the Androids and fix this..lol. Oh well, expensive lesson, but now i know he's a pos. Anyone that "locks" their chips... you should do a good job so that they come back to you b/c you do a good job, not b/c you kissed them. If you do a good job then they WILL come back. I am not understanding. TJwong explained it. Get the memcal adapter and buy some blanks chips. The rest of the memcal should be just fine. If you are trying to read someones commerical programming and tweak from it....This is another story.
I am in the Ft myers area, I was in clearwater in the spring time.Nice area.
I do have a couple of regular 27c256 chips with me. Most of mycomputer equiptment is in storage since I moved down. I wassmart enough to keep my programmer and romulator unpacked ;)

What I'm looking for is just a Stock Chip out of the 730 ECM's. (27C256 PROM). If you have one laying around... I might buy it. As for trying to tweek from a proffesional... NO. I took him a "STOCK GM PROM" that i bought from the Dealership. He just changed the injector constant, and VSS thing. That was it.. and he gave me some "OTHER" prom. So I didn't get my new still wrapped GM Prom re-burned. He just used it to Upload, re did like 2 tings, burned it onto ANOTHER Prom and SCREWED ME. That's the 411 on my problem. Some how, he makes it impossible to reburn his chips. Communist. SO if you wanna maybe sell a stock 27C256 "PROM", the whole thing... let me know.

Yes I would sell/give you a 27c256 prom (not the whole memcal) The rest of your memcal should be fine . Just unsoldier his chip and install another one or get the adapter and it bypasses his chip with your own(stock or custum)

The reason I need the whole thing is b/c i CAN'T unsolder it from the base b/c the idiot glued or put this Tar looking stuff all over it.. and for the love of god i can't get that goop off to unsolder the memcal. So i'll let you know if i even wanna mess with it, b/c the chip now is pretty good and i'm selling the car ...so no real point. I'll let ya know.... Thanks.
