If you ever put headers on your car, just go out and buy an Exhaust Manifold Spreader now.... it freakin' worked!!
Now i get to put the other on, but I'm leaving town on wed for a week to go to chicago ... so i think i'll just get the passenger side all fixed up, start her up to make sure there aren't any leaks .. and then wait until i'm back from town to give it a go on the drivers side.
Re: YAY! One header is on!!! (_freakmonkeydogboy_)
Yeah, so i have the header on, but now i've run into a problem getting the flange on the bottom of the header. Well, the bolts look like \ / instead of | | :(. So I either have to bend something down there or I have to drill out the bottom bracket holes larger and hope i can get it to fit that way.
The Hooker I was installing (that sounds bad) used bolts and nuts instead which means you would have to drill yours out. I just got through installing LT headers and they were no harder than shorties. Off the subject, but passenger side had to go in from bottom and driver from top. Driver side for you should not be bad unless your warped again. My used set was. Remove asr and pull it up out of way and lay it on ecm. I remove ac compressor and pulled it up and foward without disconnection lines. Had to grind braces for alt and ac brackets. Thats easy. Goodluck with this bottom flange.
Ok, good.. i was hoping it could be done that way. You just drilled the holes in the triangular bracket out larger, right? I really want to get that connected so I can see if I've got any exhaust leaks on my header .. before I leave town.
