$160.00 for a hi-perf pump and new wiring harness is a killer deal and is great insurance that you are getting enough fuel. My FP crapped out on me and I paid $114 for the stock pump with no wiring. But I was stranded, no choice.
LPE sent my car back with the factory '90 pump, and it ran fine.
I went through an LT-1, Vortec truck pump(those we're apparently not enough, oh, forgot about the bosch one that burnt up!) and I'm now on to the walbro unit(I forget which number, the bigger one)
My car's had more surgery than a hollywood actress :lolg:
Honestly I'd say you're alright. Are you referring to flywheel horsepower or rear wheel?
If you're talking flywheel I'm already running that on the stock pump with no apparent issuses. If you want rear wheel that shouldn't be much of a problem either.
I would still like to have the racetronix kit with the walbro pump, but I don't believe it's necessary.
