anyone ever have the belt tensioner snap in two??!!
last night my alternator died. so here i am at autozone fixing Meagan, and go to take off the belt so i can remove alternator. Damn tensioner snapped in two. autozone didn't have a belt tensioner in stock so i drove home on no waterpump, powersteering, alternator, ac, etc... had to stick in neutral and kill engine to keep from over heating on drive home.
Meagan come on. why are you being mean to me? you know i am in the process of bringing you a complete engine rebuild and accessories. Love me and ill love you. :smash: :smash: :smash: :smash: :smash: :smash:

SOB!!!! :cuss :cuss :cuss
I just got done snapping the NEW one that came in tonight. Called the 24 AutoZone that is like 10miles from my house the had one though. So i go to get it and instead it is just the F****** pulley. :mad the guy looked up wrong part. Ok 1 am is to early in the morning to be fixing broke poopie around the house, wait its my corvette. yeah, nm, at 1 am its broke poopie, imho.
Damn idler arm. so i currently have the new one thats in two pieces sitting in the oven with JB weld on it. anyone think it will hold besides me? (its in oven to speed up the setting process of glue, not because im am mad at it....)
took a good look at were it broke and there appears to be small bubbles in the casting of the aluminum idler arm. i dont think i got mad and snapped this part, well at least this time.

Re: anyone ever have the belt tensioner snap in two??!! (mistaben)
I have never had one break in two but the old one from my car was so sloppy it was bouncing around while the car was idleing. Thank you GM for selling me a tensioner for 75.00 that probably would cost me 30.00 if it were a Camaro. :cuss
