The other day I was driving on the interstate at about 65 and whenever I would give it alot of gas I would get a sort of knocking, it almost felt the same as when you have the transmission in to high a gear for your speed. There was no jump in RPM's so I am ruling out a slipping clutch. If I just gave it a little throttle it was fine, could this be the optispark or could it just be bad gas. It has also taken a second to start sometime in the last few days, fuel pump. I know I am throwing around alot of ideas, thanks for your help.

Ok well i went out and drove it today, and it died on me at a red light and did the same thing as I had described previously. When I got home I decided to check all the plug wires and sure enough one had touched and melted a little against one of the egr tubes, could this be the reason for my problems.
Yes, that can cause your symptoms. Heavy engine loads require a good spark, and high cylinder pressure requires higher plug voltage to jump the gap. A melted plug wire may jump at the melt rather than at the plug under heavy load causing a miss.
