The newer LT1s and LT4s should be able to dispense with them nicely.
The L98s will get eaten alive unless you have extensive mods.
My wife has an LS1 Z28 and it will smoke my 91 L98 or my 84 xFire.
It'd would smoke then both put together.
Those LS1s will haul
It's not even a close match for the Z06 however.
