Problems with hood support??????????????
Ok I bought everthing I needed to upgrade my 84 to a 96 body style bumpers, inner wheel wells, lights the works. :D. I started on changen the right side inner wheel wells.Have them all change looking good :thumbs: But the hood support bracket and Rod won't fit :skep:Whats Up any body know :confused: EDMGUY.

My '85 hood has provisions for the later style hood prop. But, I do know the '84 has a different hood. Do they claim it's supposed to be a bolt-on for your '84?

I had to take off the exsisting 1985 bracket and bolt on the new style of bracket then I trimmed off some of my bracket off and bolted it on over top of the new bracket.

Check your email!
You need to take the bracket off that is currently mounted on a 45 Degree angle then put the new hinge bracket on in its place,,,, then hack saw the bracket you took off so it will clear the new hinge,,, and bolt it back ontop of the new hinge,,, clear as mud?

Thanks thats a big help. :thumbs: The 84 has a differnt lay out than a 85 but I can make work .Brackets will be here 10/16/2003.This is going to be soooo :cool: .EDMGUY

Ok completed the install on my 84 Corvette Had to extend the lower bracket
and reinforced the air intake for the TBI's.But was not to bad. And it woks so much better. thanks id85 for the help.
