New Best Time Is In!!!
I finally got a chance to go to the track with my new setup. The new time.
12.47@112
1.88 60' With stock stall converter and nitto street tires.
Here's what I've got.
396 fully forged
9.0-9.5 compression ratio
ported stock heads
custom comp cams cam
1.6/1.52 roller rockers
58mm TB
Hooker super comp long tubes with stock catback
2.59 Stock Dana 36
It's really hard to get used to shifting at 6500+ when your tac doesn't go that high :yesnod:

Actually I drove to byron dragway in Rockford, IL. Then on sunday I went to Cedar Falls, IA. I've gotta make up for all the times I missed this summer :yesnod:

Good times !
What type of intake are you running?
With a torque converter, gear change & exhaust you would have high 11's for sure.

Re: New Best Time Is In!!! (Hole-Shot)
It's a strait up LT1 Intake just bored out a little for the 58mm TB.
I'm running second gear out to redline so the 2.59's seem to be perfect.
I really need a new torque converter and possibly a new catback.
I could really use a dyno tune and then I'm ready to put the N2O on it.

Get a Harlan shift-light, and you won't have to watch the tach.

Brian, I was just wondering why you went with such a low compression ratio on your engine. Do you plan on adding a blower? As for a converter, the Vigalante from Precision Industries is a really good one.
http://www.converter.com I'm trying to get my tach converted to the 8000 also. Hard to find the orange overlay.

 Me too.
More compression and more gear and you would see see another huge time improvement.

Well, to run 87 octane of course...
I'm currently working on a beltless boost project. It was postponed when the piston rings went out on my engine. Now that I've got the engine back, I'm trying to get ahold of my welder to finish the project.
