Re: Single Plane EFI manifold conversion for C4 Vettes- Prototype Finished! (ski_dwn_it)
I sincerely HOPE you don't have any issues because I'm leaving tomorrow for Albuquerque to tune the FAST system on an '80 Vette I built for a guy! I'll be out of pocket til tomorrow but I'll have my cell phone with me and my computer so I'll check my email and the board when I have the chance.
You "shouldn't" have any issues though, it fit Kristi's car like a glove. You might wanna let the silicone dry before you start hammering on it though!! :D

PS- I was kinda thinking about this... Your 3.07 gears are the only thing I could see that would cause any kind of loss; I suspect this manifold would like deeper gears a little better. But you should still see a pretty substantial gain.

Hi, it has been very interesting to read about your progress. One question comes to mind: how does this manifold compare to Accell Pro Ram -single plane manifold? Any advantage for using Torkers as base?
Re: Single Plane EFI manifold conversion for C4 Vettes- Prototype Finished! (ToniH)
Hey Toni, :seeya
If you want to see one factory made efi single plane manifold going to C4 vette come and see mine in few days... its in the transit right now but should arrive next week...I also have few photos about it but no server to put them on.
There is also one car with the accel ProRam in our garage...
Nice manifold...a bit too high to fit in the C4 vette though...

Jussi, I sent you e-mail.
> The base is a super victor and the ports are longer than that pro ram
So, you mean that the Victor base might give better mid rpm performance with those longer runners than the Pro RAM? How is the S. Victor runner length compared to Super RAM?
Re: Single Plane EFI manifold conversion for C4 Vettes- Prototype Finished! (ToniH)
the super victor is 6-7 inches long where the super ram i think around 15-18 inches long but the mini ram and lt1 are 3 inches long plus it will flow over 300 cfm the victor that is so its a good compromise on torque and hp

OK people...I'm in Albuquerque tuning this damn car and I wanna know what's going on with my manifold!!! Is it on? Does it fit? Is it running? Dammit, someone tell me what's going on!!!!

Re: Single Plane EFI manifold conversion for C4 Vettes- Prototype Finished! (CORKVETTE1)
Got it...All's cool...I'm on a strange compooper and I had to go away for a minute. I'm sitting at a C3 Forum member's house tuning his '80 Vette I built for him. The FAST system's being a PITA! I'll be on the computer for another little while though!

Re: Single Plane EFI manifold conversion for C4 Vettes- Prototype Finished! (CORKVETTE1)
Honestly they're about the same; I have quite a bit of experience with both (as well as Electromotive and the original 6.0/6.32 DFI)... The Gen7 DFI is a pretty close copy IMO of the FAST system; in fact so close I would say that it's not by coincidence! The biggest problem we had with this car is that after I brought it back out to N.M. the damn ECU blew up and the guy that owns the car simply doesn't know how to tune it. So, here I am...
Hopefully ya'll will have good news for me when I return on Sunday...But in the meantime I'll be checking in whenever I get the chance. I IM'd Jesse and left him my cell phone number so ya'll call me if you need anything!
