85 AUTO TRANS. BIG PROBLEM
There is alot I can fix but transmissions stump me. Today on the freeway lost the overdrive, it shifted down, pulled over put it in park and park no longer works, Drive 1,2, and 3 plus reverse are still fine. Anyone have a clue whats up? :flag :cuss :cuss

I had a Buick tranny do the same thing.I almost have a phobia of auto trannys now Every time I drive my 85 auto its always somewhere in the back of my mind. I was wondering how many miles were on your car and how often you changed the fluid?Did you race alot?There has been alot of disscusson here about auto tranny fluids and change intervals.Your imput could be helpful.
