Default Help interpreting winALDL

Last night I hooked up my lap top to my 86 coupe . I need some help using the program. I noticed right away that the idle was 1000 rpm and the knock retart doesn't work. Is there any way aroung this? I can't do any WOT evaluations with the car pinging like crazy. Here are some specific questions:
1. The TPS idle voltage is .49 : is this far enough out to need adjustment and does the 1000 idle speed affect that?
2. I could not get any data in the BLM, O2, or INT tables either live or saved. How do I get this info?
3. Where shoud the rich /lean counter value be for best performance?
Ive been working on cars for many more years than I care to admit to and I feel confident working on mechanicals but the electronics are new to me. I understand the basic functions of the sensors and the ECM. Any help you can give me on interpreting the Winalal dat and how to run the program is greatly appreciated. If you know of a archived thread that would help please pass it on. Thanks!
