front spring question and tech tip...
Tech tip:
As you are removing the spring retainers, DO NOT, under any circumstances, bang on the bolts from the bottom to get the retainers free.
If you do this, you may be unlucky enough to have the bolts go all the way through into a blind pocket between the frame and the subframe. If this happens, it will take hands the size of a 5-year old, the patience of a saint and an hour on your back with hand cramps to get them back in.
Please don't ask why I know this, but I pass it on as help to the next unfortunate b@stard.
Question:
If there a one-to-one relation between how much I take off of the top of the spring pad and how low the car will go? What I mean is: If I take one inch off the pad, will the car go down one inch? Or is there some sort of ratio involved with the swing of the a-arms?
Thanks guys,
-Z
