Emissions Test Failure - High CO
Here in Houston we have very tough polution emissions tests on every car. My Vette failed twice due to slightly high CO emissions. Anyone know how to reduce the CO by tuning or other means? The NOX and HC's are well within limits.
The car has a new set of platinum plugs, fresh Mobil 1, new PCV valve, and only has 38,000 miles on a mint body and engine that is almost stock. I do have a K&N filter (freshly cleaned) and a Hypertech chip installed. Will replacing the chip with the OEM ECM help? How about changing the timing slightly?
I've also added some injector cleanout stuff to the gas and burned that thru with no positive results.
