How much boost are you running again? D1-SC right?

I am sure it will be at least 18psi. It will max out the D1SC at 6200rpm which is rated for 62000 impeller speed.
Cam is extreme energy 222/230@.05 .560/604 lift
ARE stage II heads and all the goodies bolt on
I also have reinstalled my N2O NX jetted 150hp shot. My fuel system may not handle all that.

Holy poopie!!! I'm guessing at least 600RWHP, and who the heck knows with the N2O.....but I'm guessing a couple walked main caps with the spray ;)

Awesome Bruce!! I can't wait to find out what you do because that's EXACTLY what I want to do, 383 w/ D1-SC

Did you use the LT-1 4 bolt block or swap for a splayed 2 Bolt???

I use my original 4 bolt main caps. The whole motor and heads built by ARE with the intention for the D1SC supercharger. All I did is to install the motor back into the car.

The good thing that every # of boost the supercharger produce will be forcing into the throat on the pistons because there will be NO BELT SLIPPING any more. Also I will be running all the hard tubing from the intercooler to the intake tract. I am going to junk the ATI surge valve and go with Vortech race valve.

How did you run the cog belt. I am wanting to put one on my Vortech unit. As far a the blow off valve do you like the Vortech one? I ended up with an HKS.

Greetings from up the road in Buffalo.
Initially you may see 724RWHP. However, unless you go to 83lb injectors you won't see it for very long. Consider securing a Carroll "super fueler" and running 3 (83) lb injectors in that system. It is necessary.
Also consider putting away some funds for a transmission change. It will happen. You will indeed see 18lbs of boost resistance@5700rpm.
Increase your life insurance. When you drive through "the can of worms" and hit the gas you WILL go side ways.
Enjoy

Hi neighbor RVY
I know I really need 83s injector. But since I already have the 50s, I want to see how hp the 50s can really handle in hp wide.
I have a couple of choice about the injectors. 1) add the super fueler with
(3) 96s injector 2) have TJWong modify my ECM to run 8 low Z 83s injector. Since my car is a 93 is also a batch fire that would be doable to modify to run low Z injector. SFI would be harder due to many components needed to modify and heat can create problem inside the ECM. According to TJWong, all I need is to change out the 2 chip inside the ecm.

Since car is a high hp car, that means I have to behave. I am only 34 yrs old and of course I want to enjoy driving my car many yrs a head.

As for the tranny go. I have a 6 speed ZF gear box with M'cleod street twin disk. So, for now I am going to leave it at that.

It appears your thinking along the right track. The 50lb injectors will give you 550 rwhp+/- without nitrous but you know that. Thats standard. I'm running 57lbrs with 3-83lbrs in the superfueler and that feeds the toy with out Nitrous.
You might want to give thought to a DFI unit. You can modify the ECM to handle the bigger injectors however burning chips for tuning may be a problem. My '93 lived on the Dyno for days untill we were content.

See you in the spring.

I am thinking you will be around 705-RWHP if things are tuned right on the 50#ers.

That is my guess and i guess we will see :D

if you're running the stock intercooler, I'm thinking it will be maxed out around 600-650 rwhp range...w/a new/bigger intercooler, 650-7-700 rwhp range.

Bruce, I thought you took off the ATI intercooler. Mine never saw the street. If you've a few Benjamines you can spare, and plates on the car, consider giving Kennedy a call. Schedule an appointment, put the toy on the Dyno and see what it will do. That way, you can consider modifications with the snow on the ground. What are your plans for tuning the beast? I'm not aware of anyone in the area burning GM chips?

RVY and Chris
You are both right about the ATI IC. Yes I know I will have to do something about the IC down the road. As for tuning I will be taking the car to Delaware for Shalin doing the tuning. He is very good and knowlegeable about tuning the speed density LT1. He used to live in Annapolis MD where he has excess to a dyno shop. Now he lives in Delaware where there is no dyno shop around. We will be doing street tuning there. After that I am taking the car back to ARE for dyno or Kennedy Dynotune in Buffallo and maybe I can have Bob there set me up their water injection kit that he sells.

Bruce,

Give Mak a call at http://www.Fasttrackperformance.com. He will sell you a FAST unit and a cut in harness that works with your factory harness.. FAST is the best way to tame that beast.... It's not that hard to program and is a great alternative to playing the chip burning game.... Mak is a REAL nice guy and has answered many many questions for me... He also has some real cool videos on his site... Check out the Diable meets Viper and Supra clip.. Starts kind of corny.. but is totally cool footage...

Take care,

Tony
