Default Need help identifying flywheel!!

Does anyone know of a site where I can find the specific year and transmission application of a GM flywheel, based on its cast numbers? I think it might be an '83-84 F-body manual trans flywheel, but I need to know for sure.

I don't have the answer to your question, but I'll try to help. You might try calling a GM dealer. Some times they have reference to their own cast numbers. Also, you may want to try a recycler (junkyard) or two. They often have interchange and cast number info. The biggest problem with cast numbers, is, that once an item is cast (with it's number) it can be machined into multiple part numbers. Case in point: A 350 Chevy block. Certain cast numbers are found as both 2 and 4 bolt mains. Good luck, and...

RACE ON!!!

PS. An after thought. Some times the cast number IS the part number. Have you tried tracking the cast no. as the part no?
