Re: My car is having problems...help-SOS (BIG JIM 54)
[UPDATE]
Well guys I went yesterday to check on my car and I took my friend with me to get a charge since I had tried till the batt was drained. Well we hooked her up and the batt charged up and the car turned over BUT didnt stall :skep: I told my friend it should stall in a bit. IT NEVER DID :p: WTF is going on? I drove my car around for 15 minutes and then parked her. I came back 10 minutes later and she started like normal. I tried this morning and everything was smooth.... :skep: So how long till the problem shows itself again? I dont want to replace things unless I know forsure they are busted. Thanks for the advise guys but what do I do about this now? :smash: Im very happy to have her running but I dont want to get stranded
Re: My car is having problems...help-SOS (2nd2SEX)
Do/did you have an abnormal oil pressure reading prior to this problem. If so, then it is almost surely your oil pressure switch. Otherwise, check fuel supply and spark.
Re: My car is having problems...help-SOS (CaliforniaVette)
Well I'll have to look into it. I've been driving her fine. Im going to replace my fuel filter and look into the oil pressure switch. The oil pressure always reads 80  since I bought her 2 years ago. The comp hasn't thrown any codes. Thanks for the help guys
Re: My car is having problems...help-SOS (2nd2SEX)
My 86 also read 80 psi- all the time. Finally did some investigating (never belived it). Found a wire off the oil pressure switch- looks like someone couldn't plug it in with their 2 inch hands. I put a new switch on there while at a weak moment- just to remove furture pain.
