Default AutoTap vs carputing's lt1/4 edit questions

Is Autotap's OBDII tool just for scanning and TS? I don't see on their page where you can 'tune'... True?

Also, can you pull codes (scan) with carputing's lt1/4 obdii tool or just tune?

I want a tool that scans codes AND tunes.... :yesnod:

There isn't a tool out there that can SCAN and TUNE. Auto Tap, EASE, EFiLive are all just scan tools none of which can do any tuning. Some like the GM TECH2 can do some actuator manipulation and perform a series of tests. But none can actually alter the PCM programming. A TECH2 does have the ability to flash program a PCM but it can't alter that program from GM, it can only load it to the PCM.

Seems odd. You might think that if a program could pull down PCM data, alter it, and then upload the changes, it could certainly pull some DTCs.

Bummer man. Thanks.
