I have an 86 A4, and mine comes on all the time in D and OD except for when the lock up torque convertor is engaged. otherwise if i'm cruising at 50+ in D it'll come on, or if i'm traveling at any speed constantly in OD :crazy: i hate it
I also have an 86 A4 and my shift light never comes on. I'm going to try running in drive at 50 MPH just to see if it will come on. I just assumed that the auto didn't have that function. I love this forum: I learn something new every day. :cheers:

That is great! So what cam, head, and intake package did you get? I am really ready to get to the races to see if I can hook up :D . So how did the new package do on your first drive. How much power did you add to your car with the upgrade?

u should be glad it doesn't. it drives me :crazy: does anyones "for better enonomy" light ever come on?
